WAFCON and the architecture of neglect

CAF rescheduled WAFCON 2026 to July–August with a 67-word statement and zero explanation. The hosting chaos, the AFCON fallout, the South Africa episode — none of it acknowledged. WAFCON keeps getting treated like a moveable piece of furniture. The question was never whether women's football is ready. It's whether the governance is ready for the game it's supposed to serve.
